Our mission: Living differently from the secular world in grateful response to what God has done for us. We are a historic church in the heart of downtown Plattsburgh. Mindful of our heritage and looking with hope toward the future, we worship the Lord Jesus Christ each Sunday morning at 9:30, followed by a time of fellowship and church school for all ages. Come and see what God is doing at First Presbyterian Church!

We invite you to explore this website to learn more about us. If you are living or visiting in the Plattsburgh area, come join us to learn how we live out what we believe.
For more than 200 years, First Presbyterian Church has been known in the community for its work in aiding people in crisis. The church is a stop on the Underground Railroad Heritage Trail for its role in the antislavery movement of the 1830s. We support the Interfaith Food Shelf and numerous other organizations in our community and beyond. We host two AA meetings at the church each week. Our youth and adults take part in regional and national mission trips, and we are a strong supporter of national and international mission causes of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Currently we are in an interim time-between permanent pastors. We prayerfully expect that in 2015 our congregation will welcome a new pastor to lead and support us in our ministries.
